Did anyone find out the sex around 16 weeks 5 days????
I made my 15 week appointment close to 2 weeks later hoping I can get an answer on the gender of my baby!!! I would LOVE to know right before Christmas and be able to tell our whole fanmily!!!

With DS #1, I found out at 14 weeks. With this pregnancy, I was 16 weeks.
I think it depends on the dr. though. It might be easier to tell if it's a boy!

Oh cool, based on your experience sounds like I may have a chance!!!! Just curious, what do you mean when you say it depends on your doctor? Do different doctors do things differently?

We found out the Gender at the 16 week sono and was confirmed again at the 20 week and again at our 40 week

Honestly, I think it depends on the baby's position and also on the machine that your doctor has - my doctor's machine is soooooooo grainy etc. and at my 16 week appointment you couldn't see much (but we didn't want to know the sex so who knows if she could have told us). Good luck.

With my first DS , at 14 weeks, my dr. said, "well, if I were a betting man, I would say that was a penis." Also, the only reason I had a sono at that point was because I went in for cramping., otherwise I wouldn't have had another sonogram until 20 weeks.
With this pregnancy, my dr. will almost always give me a sono, because they are in every room. At 16 weeks, when I asked, he was hesitant to tell me, and also said it was very early to find out.
So depending on how clear the shot is, the position of the baby, and how willing the dr. is to take a chance at possibly telling you the wrong sex....

I get what you're saying, that helps! My office has a sono machine in every room and each of the machines has a switch they flick to get a 3D/4D image as well! My doctor always wants to do a sono to see the baby, so it seems to be working out!

Both my children I found out before that, around 16 weeks 1 day! If the baby is cooperating there should be no reason the tech cant tell.

Nope dr was sure she saw ovaries..and now at 38 weeks its still a girl

I think with boys it is more obvious if the baby cooperates. It wasn't a guess. Pics are in my album.

at 14 and 16 weeks my doctors wouldnt guess, I had my level II when I was 18 weeks and 3 days and the tech said 90% girl, I then went for another sono at around 22 weeks and it was confirmed girl again. With my DS we were told boy at his level II and I was almost 20 weeks

I had my amnio with Abby at 16 weeks. The sono showed girl that day. The results confirmed it. They should be able to tell.
