Did anyone have heartburn really bad in the beginning of their pregnancy?
I've had it non stop for 3 days now.

I hate heartburn. I take prescription medication for mine but you can try tums and eating more bland foods.

It just started with #2. With #1 I got it a little after 20 weeks and my doc gave me zantac which completely helped.

Yes and I still do. That and acid reflux  The trick is to find out which foods bother you worst, for me it's onions and tomato sauce, and don't lay down shortly after eating. Also, Tums, Zantac, and Pepto are safe remedies. At least according to my dr. Feel better!

Awww, that sux to start with heartburn so early!!! I didn't get heartburn until 30-something weeks.

I had it badly from the beginning, all the way until delivery. I lived on tums Smoothies - had them everywhere, home, car, work, purse. It never really seemed to matter what I ate. Some things made it worse, but I would get it even if I just had bread. It did go away right after I had the baby, though.

Mine began at 10 weeks and stopped the day DS was born.... It was the worst part of my pregnancy and honestly I didnt have it that bad in comparison to many others! Tums and I were BFF for those 30 weeks!
ETA: Like PP I had tums in my desk at work, at home, in my purse, you name it I was never without them, and the one day I forgot to refill my work stash I ran to CVS at 10am I couldnt wait any longer!

yes, it was terrible in the beginning, got better in the second tri., and has come back (not as badly) in the third tri. Tums are always in my bag!

I had horrible hearburn and reflux from the day I got my BFP. I tried everything- Tums, Mylanta, milk. Nothing worked. My heartburn was so bad even water upset me. I wound up getting sick and losing 12 pounds! What worked for me was acupuncture. Once I had it done, I felt a million times better.

Since I got my BFP, I've had heartburn and reflux most days. Milk helps a little bit. Try to avoid tomatoes and citrus/acidic foods (there are other foods to avoid too, but I can't remember them). Feel better.

I had it from the beginning. I take Zantac when it is really bad otherwise Mylanta or Tums helps.

I had it from 6 weeks and I still have it at 14 weeks.. I take zantac for it (by my dr. orders).. and it only helps about 50% of it.. I HATE HEARTBURN!!!!

doctor gave me pepcid...and I take when I need it..
