Did anyone not confirm BFP with blood test?
Just curious. Did anyone not do a blood test to confirm their pregnancy?

I didn't. My doctor's office wouldn't even see me until 8-10 weeks.

Oh ok. Thought my OB was the only one. I went in the other day to ask for a blood test and the nurse told me its not necessary if I got a positive on a urine test OR got a referral from the Dr.

I didnt with DS, just POAS in the Drs office, I expect it to be the same this time.

I didn't have a blood test. called my doctor after BFP and had an appointment two weeks later and pregnancy was confirmed with ultrasound.

I didn't. My dr said I could come in and take one but I took like 10 HPT's all positive so that was enough for me lol

i did but that was bc I was seeing an RE. When I was preg. the first time (which was chemical) I called the dr. and they said to come in at 6 weeks for first sono. Unfortunately, I never made it to that point and ended up having bloodwork to mainly confirm that I was pregnant at all.

ditto. she said digital HPTs were just as good, and I saw her around 8 weeks.

the first time around I did not. The dr didn't even want to see me until 12 weeks along; I fought for 8 weeks and we settled on 9 weeks. I think it was because I was a new patient. Good thing I didn't wait until 12 weeks because I ended up with a missed miscarriage on the 2nd appt with him and that would have been the situation for a good amt of weeks had I not gone in sooner!!! UGH!!
The 2nd time around I had beta tests... I can't remember if I had 3 or 4 but I had them because I was seeing Dr B.

no, at my first appt it was only to confirm with a urine sample for the PT and the doctor gave me a script to take to the lab for the pregnancy package bloodwork.
All to be done for my 2nd appt.

I didn't do a blood test. Honestly, I still don't see the point. Pregnancy tests are pretty accurate. And then if in 2 weeks I didn't get my period then it would be confirmed. lol. I didn't see my Dr until I was 8 weeks along

I'm like the other girls, no bloodwork, just sono @ 8w.
Me being a first timer, I was surprised that there was no blood work involved, but then I found out I was the norm.
My friend had bloodwork, but I think it was at her normal MD, not her OB.

POAS type of test to confirm. I guess the HPT I took was enough.
