Did anyone space out their child's shots or pass on any because of a fear of Autisim?
My friend said that she followed a different vaccine schedule than her Doctor suggested because she was afraid.
Did anyone else do it? What exactly do you do? Do you only do one shot at a time? Do you do certain combos? Do you think this really helps??

I did not start any shots till they were atleast 4 months old. I do not allow more than 2 shots given at a time. If it is a combine shot like a DTaP or MMR I only give that one at a time. As for a schedule, I rely on my ped to tell me which should be given. As for it making a difference, I have no idea. It makes me more comfortable that their immune system has a chance to recover after getting 1 shot and not overloaded. If there is a reaction i know its from a specific vaccine not wondering which one it was from, on the Autism side with Emma (because the boys have yet to receive the dreaded MMR) it made me feel better that I knew she did not have any autistic tendencies before getting the shot (she got it at 3 yrs not 12-18 months).

Only one sht at a time has bee giving to all my children. I think I et my Dr give 2 shots at one time only once and it was their regular immunization and the flu shot. That's it.

yes, we spaced DD's out a bit as per my pediatrician's recommendation. It's been quite a hassle with daycare, but we're sticking with it.
