My son did last year at Good Sam. He was 8. He stayed overnight at the hospital and was feeling okay that first day. Then the pain kicked in and unless we kept on top of it with the tylenol, it was awful. He would wake up in such pain. He was better after a couple of weeks though. Good luck

DD#1 had hers out when she was 5(just adenoids) and it was really pretty easy. She was jumping rope in my living room the next day(against Dr's orders )
