Did anyones DC potty train for poop first?
DS is potty trained for poop only---he seems to be having a harder time figuring out when he needs to pee---any hints? Everyone I talk to tells me this is totally backwards.

Re: Did anyones DC potty train for poop first?
Yes, my DS did! He hated the dirty diaper and he was very easy to predict when he had to poop, so we would put him on the potty and it was easy for him to get the concept. He has not had a dirty diaper since he was 2.5.
The peeing on the other hand ?? I think he was just lazy. Took him 4-6 months later, after poop training, to get it. I just put him in underwear and went for it. Had several accidents the first day, not so many the next, and by day 3 he was trained.
Then my DD was the complete opposite. Took her months to poop train completely!

Re: Did anyones DC potty train for poop first?
Unintentionally yes.
Ale will tell me and will go by herself even to go poopy on the potty. But, she screams when I make her go on to pee, holds it in, and then winds up peeing in her panties a few minutes later. It's very frustrating.
I think it is because she doesn't want to be interrupted in whatever she's doing (playing, watching a movie, whatever)....
