did my water break or am i just peeing on myself??? UPDATE BELOW
today has been a strange day. ive been feeling wet all day so i went and got some pantyliners. ive also had some sharp cramps here and there. i had a sweet 16 to go and while i wasnt feeling up to it i went bc it was for a close family friend. at the party everyone was joking and making me dance to make me go into labor (im only 33 wks PG so i guess everyone was just trying to be funny). well when i got home tonight i was bending down to feed my dog and when i stood up my dress was wet in the back and there was liquid dripping down my legs. i thought that maybe i sat in dog pee or something, but there was nothing there...i dont think i peed on myself bc i didnt feel anything, but what are the chances that my water actually broke??  im freaking out??? i dont wanna call my dr bc its so late and its a weekend...im gonna go lie in bed now and see if there is any other leakage tonight, but im just so nervous...im only 33 wks...please pray that it is urine!!!! ill update in the morning!!!

CALL YOUR DR OR GO TO THE ER!
My water didn't break at any point until delivery, but I was leaking urine with Jules at one point. They rushed me in and had me there for hours doing tests. If you water broke, you need to get on antibiotics if it's been over 24 hours...

Definitely call your dr ASAP or go to the ER...
At this point you don't even know if you have Strep B (GBS) & if you do they need to start antibiotics as soon as your water breaks (which they would do for you b/c you haven't been tested yet).

ok so i had no other leakage or anything last night...it must have just been urine then right?? if it was my actual water breaking, wouldnt i have been leaking more??
how embarrassing!!! i guess the baby just pressed on my bladder or something when i bent down!
today we have to go to a wedding...i cant get out of it bc DH is in the bridal party...but thankfully it is close to Winthrop so if at any point I am not feeling right DH said he will rush me over there!!!

honestly, i would still call your doctor and get checked out, because if you were actually leaking fluid you wouldn't want your fluid level to get dangerously low. also, as someone else mentioned, if you are leaking you are at increased risk for infection.

you think i should still call even though i did not leak anything last night? i honestly hardly slept bc I was running to the bathroom to check all night. dh really wants me to call or go to the er, but its his best friends wedding today (as i posted above he is in the bridal party)...i would feel so bad if it were nothing and i ruined the wedding bc of it. if i thought i was still leaking i would definitely call, but honestly i dont think i am!
am i being really irresponsible for waiting it out until later today??

I will still call...generally if it was your fluid, they want the baby out w/i 24 hours & you're at increased risk of infection....they can do a simple swab test to see if it was your amniotic fluid. Please call!

My water broke and was leaking out slowly....not a big gush at all.
Would you rather miss the wedding, or risk your child's health?
Why can't you go to the hospital to get checked out and have your husband go to the wedding....if your water did break, call your husband and he can leave the wedding, and if your water didn't break, you can go home and relax!
I'm sure the couple getting married will understand - this is out of your control!!

When my water broke. I had some leaking , and I thought it was urine too. Then I had NOTHING for a full day or so...and then it started up again.....and it didnt stop...every time I stood up some leaked out.

I was induced and the doctor and the l&d nurse weren't sure when my water broke!
They also told me that it can break a little bit and you can have the baby, it doesn't have to be broken all the way. Then it can break the rest of the way after the birth.
I'd go get checked.

Note to you and all the other preggos on the board. It doesn't matter if it is 11:58 on New Years Eve, if something happens that you are worried about you call your doctor. Thats part of the job! They rotate on call hours with other doctors to get a break. You don't need to wait for business hours if something could have happened!!!

i really would... wedding or not... because what you're describing sounds suspiciously like amniotic fluid to me. but there's no way to tell unless you go get checked out. it's likely to be quick - just a swab. maybe you can go yourself while your husband goes to the wedding? if it turns out to be urine, you can join him at the wedding later. if it's fluid, he can join you at the hospital after he does his bridal party duties...

I would call right away. If you were leaking and you have low fluid the baby could be in real danger. It does not hurt to call. HOpefully it was just urine
