Did not have a great doctor's appointment today
My crappy morning started when the parking garage at my doctor's office was very full. I had to park on one of the top levels. I usually find a spot on the first or second level. Then, I discovered that the parking garage elevator wasn't working so I had to walk down (and later up) 8 flights of stairs.
The nurse checked my blood pressure and it was high (138/76). The doctor checked it later on in the appointment and it was lower (128/6?). Between my high blood pressure, swelling and slight trace of protein in my urine, the doctor wants to monitor me closely. She's sending me for bloodwork  . If my blood pressure continues to get higher, I may have to go out of work early. 
I know things can change, but it was definitely upsetting to hear. I've had a relatively good pregnancy and hope I don't have any issues now. I also really don't want to go out of work early b/c I'm handling a lot of important matters over the next month or so. At the same time, the only things that really matter are my and  's health. Maybe it's just the hormones, but this has definitely been a sucky day so far.

I'm sure the morning you had did not help your BP at all. Just try and take it as easy as possible this next week and hopefully everything will settle down by your next visit.
And keep drinking lots of water!!

I agree. That morning did not get you off to a good start. Hopefully it all works out. Just rest for now!

Aww the aggrevation probably raised your BP. DOn't be too alarmed though, that BP isn't that high and isn't considered to be hypertension yet (high BP) But it is good they are monitoring you! The fact that is went down after you calmed down is a good indicator that the raise in pressure was due to beng upset!

My BP was elevated at my first few appointments, but I attribute that to being nervous. Since then, it has been normal (except for today of course). I'm glad my doctor wanted to re-take it and after she did, I told her about the parking garage issues. She said that could've caused my elevated BP.
It just made me nervous to hear such a high reading at first. It didn't help to hear that I need to be closely monitored and may have to be taken out of work early.

I am sorry to hear that, but i dont think the morning helped.
Protein in my urine is what i'm afraid of at tomorrow's dr appointment!
