Did you do an endometrial biopsy before IVF?
I don't want to do it before I start this cycle. Is it necessary?

I think it depends on your issues. I had one done a while back but it was not a requirement for my IVF. My was probably 2 years prior.

I had one done on my request and it was terrible. I wouldn't recommended it unless you had too.

I requested one after my 2nd failed IVF. My RE didn't suspect endo but since we have no known issues and are not getting preg from IVF I thought it was worth a shot. Mine was terrible. I had it a month ago and I still have pain when I get up after sitting for a while. I have heard that some people on here said it can be linked to AMH. My AMH was normal though. I am glad we did the biopsy to rule out endo but will never do it again. I cried...

I've read that there are some doctors that believe having the endo biopsy within a few months of an IVF may increase chances of implantation.
I had mine @ RSofNY with Dr Lydic as part of the screening process in the beginning. Painless :). Was a very quick procedure, some mild cramping while doing the biopsy, and no complications or pain after.

I had one before my second consecutive FET. RE felt it might help with implantation. It didn't....but I think that's because I have other undiagnosed issues my RE wouldn't look into.
