Did you ever hear of renting chairs from a funeral parlor?
Someone just told me that if you give them a small donation you can rent chairs from them.

Yes my friend does this every year for her block party. She has about 100 people at her house, so it helps tremendously.

I didn't know that, but I did know that they will donate flowers after a wake.
My HS used to stage a mock wedding for a business law class and that's where they got the flowers from.

When my cousin was PTA president they used to get arrangements from funeral homes, pull them apart and put them in vases for centerpieces for awards dinners and such. The funeral home was happy that they were being used rather than just tossed.
