Did you let DC CIO for middle of night feeding?
The past 2 nights if DD wakes up at 3am i let her CIO until she goes back down to sleep. I put the Paci in her mouth and rock her a bit. Sometimes she screams for like 30 minutes.
I know she cant be hungry because she is fed at 7:45pm, 9:30pm and again at like 11pm.
I am not used to this b/c DS was sleeping through the night at this age already.

DS is 7 months and I feed him during the night but I am not a fan of CIO.

Have you read the "no-cry sleep solution" book?
Do you think your DC crying for a feeding or just to be held?
I could not bear to hear my baby cry for even a minute, let alone 30 minutes.

Re: Did you let DC CIO for middle of night feeding?
How old is she and how much is she eating? Try increasing her bottles during the day. DS started waking at night again because he was hungry. When I gave him an extra 1/2 oz or oz in each bottle during the day, he went back to sleeping through the night.
To answer your question though - I didn't let him CIO, but I never really had to do it. He would take a bottle and fall asleep or would usually calm down and get back to sleep after I rocked him a little bit. I had a handful of nights with me on the couch and him on my chest, but those were times he was sick or waking himself up because his eczema was bothering him.

Re: Did you let DC CIO for middle of night feeding?
At her age I think you should still be feeding her. My DS was sleeping through the night at 8 weeks and DD not until 7.5 months so I know how you feel, but you really can't compare the two. So I would continue feeding her and see how she does once she is eating solids more regularly.
I aslso wanted to add that I am an advocat of CIO and I have for both children.

Re: Did you let DC CIO for middle of night feeding?
We did CIO for some wakings, however my ds was getting up 5 times a night. We did CIO to get it down to once a night, in which we feed him. He's 6 1/2 months old.
Maybe in a few weeks we'll let him CIO for that one feeding (since he doesn't even finish the whole bottle). We'll see.
I think your dd is 4 months, right? We did CIO at 5 1/2 months. I think 4 months might be a little too young.
When your dd wakes each time, does she finish the whole bottle each time? how many ounces does she take?

Re: Did you let DC CIO for middle of night feeding?
my ds is 4 months he wakes at 11pm, 2 am and 530 am to eat. I haven't let him CIO, I don't think I will. I feel like he really needs to eat right now so I will continue feeding him. I am working FT to and its really exhausting and def. affecting me at work, so I feel your pain
