Did you take your gifts for DC to the actual birthday party?
Do you open the gifts at the actual party or just bring the gifts home?
I know when they are older, the kid would want to open their gifts but DS is turning 1.
I was thinking of not taking our gifts for DS and asking our immediate family to not bring gifts to the actual party.

id think the prference is to open gifts seperately otherwise it would take up the party time instead of socializing, you may get someone who insists on them opening the gift there though

I guess it depends on the kind of party. If it is really formal and big, then I would probably not open gifts.
Barring that, I like when people open gifts while I'm there, but I know a lot of people don't do this.
