Re: did you wash the crib bumper too?

We did not - only washed the sheets. I didn't want to damage the bumper before it got used

Same as above. It didn't seem like it would wash well so I skipped that. But now with #2 I'd like to use the same one (IF I choose to do the bumper deal again). It's been storage though in the attic for the past couple years, so I'd definitely need to wash it this time around and just hope for the best!! But I'm still undecided. It was used with #1 when she was old enough to move around so I wasn't very concerned with her getting stuck in it (it was just used as padding so she wouldn't bang into the bars anymore), but I may just skip it altogether with #2.

Re: did you wash the crib bumper too?

I used a breathable bumper at first (and washed it). I later moved to a regular bumper. I did not wash it, but dd was older at that point. Had she been a newborn, I probably would have run my steamer across it, just to kill anything And freshen it up. That's what I did with non-removable materials of things when she was a newborn.

I did wash her bumper once after a vomit incident. It came out fine but did lose a tiny bit of the shape. It sort of sinks down now a little.
