So - my crib came today, but I have a bumper issue..Any suggestions?
So my crib came today (only a week late  ) and I put the bedding on it.
The bumper doesnt really fit that well on the outside side of the crib bc of how the slats are. Here are some pics.
Do you think:
- I should find a way to move the ties
- return the bumper
- leave it as is

I would leave it. You will find that problem with all bumpers unless you have it made. They just don't fit properly. DD's bumper is only tied in corner's for the back portion because of ths problem.
It llok's great by the way.

You can bring the bumper to a seamstress and have them make the ties longer where needed.
It looks great though.

You can always add on some more ties yourself if it feels too loose.

I have the same exact crib and in the same color too.
I tied the strings around the corners, you don't have much room to tie but if you pull it tight enough you'll do it.
OR you can tie it really tight around the very last post on each side, that'll work too.
I am way too anal to have the bumper hanging and not straight and tight.

Visually I don't think it looks bad the way it is, but I would be concerned about gapping. Everything I have read about bumpers says they should be attached tightly, otherwise there is some risk of suffocation.
If you really like the bumper (and it is a nice one), I would reattach the ties so they do fit your crib.

This is my thought too. If I couldn't get the bumper to fit tightly enough, I would return it.

I got mine at Baby Fortunoff, but I saw it at BRU too. It's Child Craft/Legacy and its the Bergen County line. I dont remember what the finish is called. I also got a free bassinet and delivery included set up.
It's REALLY sturdy. The only thing i don't like about it which I just realized today is that you can't really see the cute bedskirt!!

If you know a seamstress you can move the ties. My mom did it for me but if you don't then leaving it as is is fine too. Very pretty!!
