in terms of scheduling, i think many of the classes for executive programs are on nights/weekends, whereas a regular program may include classes during the day. executive programs are designed for working professionals. content-wise they are generally the same.

I also think that some Executive programs give you "experience credits," where you get credits applied to your degree for prior work. At least with an Executive MBA, that happens...although I didn't get an Executive MBA, I got a regular one.
