difference between spitting up and throwing up in an infant
how can you tell which is which in a 2 month old? DD spit up a lot this morning and last night, i'm a little nervous since my niece had been throwing up tuesday and wednesday and DD was with her monday and tuesday.

when my dd was on enfamil lipil, she would spit up ALOT and it ould come out of her nose and she would scream, I think that is considered throwing up but I am not sure...I switched her formula and this has not happened again

I think of spit up as fairly small to moderate amounts coming out of their mouths like a volcano, just spilling over ....vomiting is more projectile (at least was with DS).

Vomit kind of flies out of their mouth-projectile style. Also they have poopy diapers about 6 or 7 per hour.
