Re: dining room still progress....pics
thanks again for the suggestions. I saw red chair cushions the other day, we definitely need cushions. I can't wait to go out this weekend and get some accessories!

i agree that you need more dramatic chair cushions and placemats or a tablecloth

Can I ask, if you tried hanging your old curtains with the new wall color. They look like the same color.
I like the red, but I'm just not sure I like them with this room. Sorry, something just seems off to me.
i agree. the room has more of a casual than formal feel. what about either a more neutral window treatments and a sisal area rug or use the old window treatments, bamboo/woven blinds and keep the current area rug? you could always add sparkle w/ mercury and glass cardholders on sideboard and table. sideboard needs more varying accessory heights.
i would also advise that you spray paint the chandelier black (the bronze really doesn't tie in w/ anything). again for more sparkle, add a string of crystals to the chandelier.

I love the paint and the curtains. Definitely agree with the suggestions to put something on the wall and a table runner or centerpiece. Also, to soften the door, maybe change/add to the window treatment on the door. Perhaps roman shades instead of the blinds.... Actually, Bed, Bath and Beyond has a pole top roman shade that might work well with your paint color. My 2 cents!

i completely agree that the sideboard needs more height variation.
The chandelier is already black/iron. It must just be the photos.
