Dinner Party Crisis...urgent help needed!!
OMG I am having a dinner party tonight, and I put the lamb in the oven earlier than I should have, and now the lamb is cooked to perfection! Guests are not showing up for another hour, and dinner won't be served until about 8.30 pm, thats an hour and a half away!
I took the lamb out of the oven and covered it with foil and a dish towel to keep it warm, but I don't know what to do now!!
I was thinking that I would throw it on the BBQ when my guests got here to give it some BBQ flavour...other than that, its lukewarm lamb all around!
Hopefully I can get them drunk enough in that half our they won't notice...
WWYD?? I don't even know what JEDWARD would do if they could cook!! <-----------------------

Do you have any Au Jus that you could heat up and pour over? Or make some sort of wine reduction?

Re: Dinner Party Crisis...urgent help needed!!
is there juice in the pan from cooking it that you can make a gravy with? the warmth of the gravy would help when you serve it. If not, I think you could put it in a low temp (like 200) for 15-20 minutes (no more than that) before serving and that would warm it without really cooking it...

Thanks everyone! I covered it with foil and a tea towel and it stayed warm and moist until we ate it. It was delish and everyone loved it! Thanks for all your help!
