I agree...you cant remake this movie!
But im sure there is a list of remakes that were put out in the 80's that we all loved never having seen the originals from the 50/60's. Its all cyclical.

I don't think people who enjoyed the original (our age group) will like it or really be into it. There's only 1 dirty dancing for us. Whether the new generation will like it, I really don't know. maybe....
to me, it's like 90210. I loved the original series. will still watch repeats. but have no interest in the new 90210. i don't even know if it's still on.

I loved Dirty Dancing but I don't care if they remake it. I DO hope that they choose 2 relative unknowns instead of trying to just cash in with some big names for the squealing girl factor.
