discharge/bleeding after internal

TMI...I had an internal yesterday at 4....started having some contractions...steady for about 40 min right after....then just on and off....went to the bathroom this morning at 7 (prob went to the bathroom at least 15 times between 4 and 7 this morning with nothing threre) so at 7 I had purple discharge....nit a huge amount, but good enough...went to the bathroom 30 min later and had some clear discharge with a little blood....nothing much since..

Could this be from the internal...I'm thinking yes, but not sure because it was such a long time after

I had bleeding immediately after my internal -- I actually saw it when i went to the bathroom before I left the doctor's office and completely freaked out and was crying when I came out of the bathroom, it scared me so much. But the nurse assured me it was totally fine and just because of the internal. She said it could last up to 24 hours after, and not to worry unless it got heavier instead of lighter. By the next morning (I had an early morning appointment), it was gone.

When it comes to these things, I'd call the nurse's line and ask. Everyone's situation is so different, I'm sure no one wants to give you wrong advice about it. I also don't know what purple discharge is. Was it really clumpy? Like very dark blood? My bleeding was bright, bright red, then faded to light pink.

i'd call the nurse or dr's office about this.

i think it can be normal.

i bled, full on bled red... it was the day after i had an internal where she checked my cervix. but idk what really caused it bc they couldn't find a cause.

how far along are you?

i would usually always have spotting after internals. the dr should have told you to expect some so that you wouldnt be alarmed!
if its not a large amount, its most likely from the exam so try not to worry!
