Disney: 2 kids 1 stroller = disaster?
Ok so my girls are 4 and the little one will be 9.5mths when we go next month. 4 yr old has tons of energy but understandbly will get tired walking all day at disney. I have a carrier and a sling so my thought process is when the big one gets tired kick the little one out and wear her until the 4yr old wants to get out again. Also DH has issues with his feet, can't walk long distances for too many days otherwise his foot and ankle swells so he plans on renting one of those motorized scooters at least one or two days. I figure when he does this my 4yr old can sit in his lap since I won't physically be able to push two strollers. Am I delusional to think this scenario will work or should I bite the bullet and get a cheap umbrella stroller for my 4yr old?

IMO, buy a cheap stroller. With my luck, the older one would get tired when the little one is sleeping in the stroller and there would be a melt down...You can probably figure out how to stash it on the scooter or the bigger stroller if needed.

Can you borrow a double stroller from someone to take with you?

The only double strollers I know my friends have are the sit n stand type which I already have and while good for a trip to the zoo or mall don't think will cut it for both if I recline the front seat if say DD#2 is sleeping.

I was just there and we rented a Citi Mini double stroller from Magic Strollers. The best money I ever spent because with my very active 3 year old DS, I wasn't about to spend $400 to buy one.
Magic Strollers
They delivered the stroller to our hotel and picked it up so we didn't even have to lift a finger to get it. Let me know if f you have any questions!

What about renting a double like the city mini from one of the companies down there. I read on Disboards and saw a LOT of families down at WDW who had 3 and 5 year olds or older children and babies renting them. One double would be easier than 1 single - and the city mini is easy to push, you have storage space, then your DC can walk when she pleases but can still ride when she gets tired. One company that mousesavers recommends charges $25 the 1st day and $9 each day after, and the other is like $80 or so for 7 days and about $100 for 9 days. Cheaper than buying a double. They deliver it to the hotel for you and you can take them to and from the parks.
The problem with one is that will you want to take your 9 month old out if they are asleep - so your older DC can ride - if you have a double your DC can get in and out on their schedule. I can tell you from going with my DD who was turned 1 on our trip in May - DD#2 was turning 3 the month after the trip (she was almost 35 months when we went). She wanted to walk a lot but having the double was really worth it - there are times when the parks are crazy esp at opening or around parade or firework times or park closings - most of the children even older ones were riding b.c it is a wall of people and they get run over or separated. DD#2 slept a lot in the stroller - if DD had wanted to ride I would have to wake her and when you are holding them standing in line they get heavy to carry around the parks as well. Your back might not love you depending on how much your DC weighs.
