Disney Cruise - Question regarding getting off the boat (times)
We have never been on a cruise, thinking about Disney cruise. What time do you get off the boat on your departure day? Realistically would we be able to make a 1:20 pm flight out of MCO that day?
Also, what are the options getting to/from the airport. Are there private companies that do this? I see Disney charges $70 per person each way, which seems high! We would not be going straight from the airport to the ship from the airport, we would be spending the night, then going the next day.

Disney Cruise - Question regarding getting off the boat (times)
When we went on the Disney Cruise, I think we were off the ship by 9am so yes, I think you could make a 1:20 flight. We rented a car at MCO and drove ourselves, car drop off is across the street from the ship. it might be tight if yougo that route on the return.

Disney Cruise - Question regarding getting off the boat (times)
More than likely you will be fine. It's just about an hour from PC to MCO. The only thing that could prevent you from not getting off in time is if there is a medical emergency or a surprise Customs inspection in which no one is allowed to leave until they are done (rare but they do happen).

Disney Cruise - Question regarding getting off the boat (times)
I went on the Dream last month. They start breakfast before 7AM and dock around then also. So just make it a point to be speedy. We took.a 3:30 PM flight and I felt it was way too late. I would have liked earlier. We did Magic Express which was quick and easy. They have buses that run one after another.

Thanks! I went ahead and booked our car rental to get to the port, and am using Disney transfer service back to the airport. They said no earlier than noon or something for the flight back, so it works out!
How did you like the cruise? We have never been on one, and are going in the next few weeks. Hoping for no sea sickness!

Re: Disney Cruise - Question regarding getting off the boat (times)
we did the disney cruise in April. We opted for the 245 flight. I think the car service picked us up around 930. Security at MCO was NUTS and it took FOREVER. We didnt rush to get off the ship in the am.
I think you could get off around 8am. but we went to cabanas, got the kids fed, and then got off the ship. I think they said you had to be off by 9 or 930.

Disney Cruise - Question regarding getting off the boat (times)
I loved almost everything about it. Great food, wonderful entertainment, so much to do. I didn't like the tiny, overcrowded pools. It was my first cruise, no sea sickness(and I'm pregnant). oh, bring your own hairdryer. Theirs is a joke!

That's good to hear about the sickness! I had read that about the pools, which stinks, but oh well!
We are going the week of Labor Day, so hopefully that deters a lot of people since most schools are back in session by then, except for this area

That's happened to me before... the customs thing. But even still, we probably could've made a 1:20 PM flight. If you book it through the cruiseline itself, they probably offer some protection.
