Disney dining plan - do you prefer basic or deluxe plan?
We are travelling with my almost 3 year old. We currently have the basic plan with 1 TS and 1 CS per day. We are thinking about upgrading as so many of the better restaurants/shows seem to be 2 TS credits and each Character Breakfast is 1 TS credit. I am fairly certain there will be maybe 2 days we will not want a TS dinner but the rest we will probably want to do. What would you prefer?

Re: Disney dining plan - do you prefer basic or deluxe plan?
We just got back and had the basic... it was PLENTY!!! there are lots of good restaurants that only count for one TS.... Boma, Ohana, Coral Reef, Wolfgang Puck at Disney, etc. Cinderella's Table and the musical theatres were two... but worth it.
We found that we had one big meal (TS) and then a QS and a snack was more than enough for us for the day. but that was just us....
Also, i believe kids 3 and under don't get a meal plan... you can order off the kids meal for them. also, QS also gives you a dessert (fruit, a piece of cake, etc.) so you could always use that to supplement your child's meal that you buy if they're still hungry or save it as a snack for them later.

well if you think you won't need a TS for 2 days, then you have 2 extra for the special dinners you wanna do. it all depends on how much you wanna spend to be honest with you. i'm not sure how much the deluxe dining plan is but i hear it's pretty expensive but you eat very well.

I would crunch the numbers. Figure out where you want to eat and go through the menus and try to estimate what you might spend out of pocket. Then I would match up the dining choices to what you would get in either plan and see if there is a savings for you.
Intercot.com and allearsnet.com have the disney menus online.
