Disney FREE dining is out!
I booked it at 5 am! Site has crashed since then, so if anyone is planning to book, be patient.
Also, some people seem to have been able to book only 4 nights and get it.
ETA: Minimum number of nights is 4. Disney is using confusing language, but the fine print says 4 night minimum

Disney FREE dining is out!
Keep in mind, if you are staying Deluxe, you are paying rack rate for hotels, which is $$$, so you have to figure out if free dining, or the room discount is cheaper! Especially since you need park hoppers, and if you don't normally park hop, add that fee in also

Exactly. Free dining doesn't really make sense for us. I'd much rather have the room discount.

Yes, you definitely have to run the numbers. For us, free dining was perfect because we are a family of 4, we park hop anyway, and we are staying at a moderate.

I put 4 nights in cart and paid total $2023 at value from 9/7-9/11!
This is 900 less than i was quoted by a disney agent 3 weeks ago. I guess all for food. I didnt want the hopper but i guess it doesnt matter now.
Need airfare next! My girls will be 15 and almost 13. Better late than never!

Re: Disney FREE dining is out!
Is this offer for ALL reservations that meet criteria or limited supply?
I booked with offer but am now looking for a room for a friend same package and its not allowing me. It says room isn’t available with free offer but when i take offer out the room is available
Edit: So i played around. The 2nd time i tried to book for friend it didnt allow me to choose 4 nights! When i chose 5 it accepted offer! Should i reserve room at least now and call tomorrow ans argue and say my friend (me) booked 4 nights? OR am i risking my 4 nights?

It says right in the fine print, 5 night stays or longer. And it's limited, so they do sell out of the free dining packages, but you can still get a room only. I would make sure that your offer really includes free dining, and just know they could cancel it if it's less than 5 nights

It all works for me cause my kids are older and we wont be in room (value) much at all. They like to eat too!

It’s definitely a 4 night minimum. It’s in the fine print.

You booked 5, but only want 4 nights? Just modify the reservation yourself on the website. There’s a change reservation button. You can go in and adjust your dates.
Disney is sneaky. They word it to make it sound as though it has to be a 5 night package because no one checks for fewer nights that way, unless they already know it’s actually a 4, not 5, night minimum.

I don't think you can modify your dates online can you? We always book a room only and they do not allow you to change your dates online. You have to call over the phone. You can change rates hotels and all of that but not the dates or people.

Disney FREE dining is out!
I just put in 4 nights at the end of August, and it came up with the free dining under a value. So I'm not sure what the deal is! But, I will tell you, often times they screw with you. They won't have say 3 nights available, but they have 4. I was looking for 2 nights last fall, and only 3 would come up. Or I could book 1 night, and another 1 night separate and call to ask to combine. Something about different room blocks...it's really screwed up!
