I just put in 4 nights at the end of August, and it came up with the free dining under a value. So I'm not sure what the deal is! But, I will tell you, often times they screw with you. They won't have say 3 nights available, but they have 4. I was looking for 2 nights last fall, and only 3 would come up. Or I could book 1 night, and another 1 night separate and call to ask to combine. Something about different room blocks...it's really screwed up!
I finally got through this morning and didnt wait that long. They changed the 4 night reservation to include free dining.
She said free dining saves $53 pp/day. If someone does not get free dining and does not care about park hopper which is an additional $80 pp/day you are only paying about $400 more for dining. Its not a huge savings to get this free dining promotion but still something!

Keep in mind, if you are staying Deluxe, you are paying rack rate for hotels, which is $$$, so you have to figure out if free dining, or the room discount is cheaper! Especially since you need park hoppers, and if you don't normally park hop, add that fee in also
Exactly. Free dining doesn't really make sense for us. I'd much rather have the room discount.
Wilderness Lodge was excluded for free dining so no luck there for me but I too would rather have the room discounts. I couldn't lock in a discount with the bounce back offer last week when we were there but I am hoping they release Annual Passholder discounts in the coming months which should save me a good amount. Fingers crossed!

This is 900 less than i was quoted by a disney agent 3 weeks ago. I guess all for food. I didnt want the hopper but i guess it doesnt matter now.
Need airfare next! My girls will be 15 and almost 13. Better late than never!
