Swan Dolphin are great because they are in walking distance of the Boardwalk which has lots of good restaurants and things to do. They are also a boatride away from MGM & Epcot.

DOLPHIN all the way!

I've always stayed at the Dolphin and LOVED it. You can walk right to the boat that takes you to the park.

Re: Disney help-resort related

If you are a teacher, they typically give teacher discounts at the Swan and the Dolphin. Check out www.mousesavers.com for more info. Swan and Dolphin aren't WDW owned properties, so you won't get charging priviledges (where you use your room key to charge in the parks) like you would at a WDW resort, not sure of the extra magic hour benefits but I'm sure www.allearsnet.com has the information.

We've stayed at the beach club and the Wilderness Lodge. We both thought they were fantastic but actually like the wilderness lodge more.

The dolphin and Swan are nice b.c they are near the boardwalk and walking distance to EPCOT etc. You do get access to items like disney transportation - BUT you don't get charging privileges so you will have to carry money or credit cards to pay for everything in the parks since you can't charge it to your room, you are not eligible for the dining plan or magical express (free shuttle between the airport and the disney hotels and if you wish they transport your luggage so you don't see it between checking in for your flight until it arrives in your hotel room), and I'm not sure about extra magic hours.

Depending on when you want to go Coronado Springs is a big convention hotel and can be over run with convention goers (which some people have complained about if you do a search on other sites).

I think it depends on what you want - the Dolphin and Swan are nicer hotels but you lose out on some of the perks of staying in the world. So you need to think about what you want to get out of it.

Not sure if you are a teacher or a nurse but the Swan/Dolphin have some nice discounts if you look.
