Disney Hotels-- best place to book?
I just got an email from Jet Blue, they're having a sale where kids 2-11 fly and stay for free.
Sometimes expedia or Jetblue are cheaper than the disney site. Both sites will price match within 24 hours. I've done it before.

ha-- thanks I got same email, but you need to stay for 5 nights and I think that would be too long. So, I figured I would try a la carte.

Re: Disney Hotels-- best place to book?
I'm so glad I opened this thread!
AJ will be 5 but of course I dont think we qualify for the kids fly free thing since we'd have to probably fly out of JFK (which *IS* possible).
However, there is a direct flight from Austin, TX to Orlando on Jet Blue for all three of us under $700 round trip!
I'm so happy right now! haha
I just need to wait another month since November STILL isn't up on the schedules yet. I want to book it and get it over with already!
I don't know why I forgot Jet Blue. I was going to take Southwest (something I would dread). I used to love Southwest and its still great for a cheap flight but with a kid, I like having the knowledge of knowing WHERE I'm sitting.
Thanks LIF!

I got the same email but there is a cutoff date for May something I believe. You might want to look into that.

Re: Disney Hotels-- best place to book?
I didn;t want to start another thread-- but does anyone know of nice resorts in area-- that are not on Disney property? May be a better trip with a 4 y/o and 1 y/o-- one day at the park, and more vacation-y the rest.

Re: Disney Hotels-- best place to book?
Just to comment on the amount of days..We just went in November and wasn't thinking about this until somebody slapped me and said, when will the next time you will be here...?
We knew we would be staying for 7 days and were only gonna buy 2 park days. Well, after thinking and brought 5 day tickets. Yes, it will be some work to get around and in the parks but your kid will experience this once at this age. If you all getting money together, spend a little bit more and experience everything. I glad we made the choice to spend all the extra money in parks. I know for me i won't be back for a while as its expensive to make this happen. Don't short change yourself as you could truely stay home and rest
With that said, we stayed in a timeshare so i have no comment on where to stay. As for the Parks, i'm glad I went to Epcot and Hollywood Studios but could of lived without them. DD loves Pixar movies and was the reason for going. Epcot, at this age, there is not a whole lot to do. We did two days at magic kingdom (highly recommend) and animal kingdom was a blast.
We brought tickets from Undercover Tourist. Undercover Tourist will recommend you go to Parks on certain days and what special events may be there. Use there apps along with the official Disney Work App and Character Locator to find signing moments.
Just my thoughts and hope they help

The prices are all the same, just book on the Disney site. There are specials under the specials link at Disneyworld.com. Mousesavers.com lists the current discounts.

Wyndham Bonnet Creek looks GREAT! It's inside the Disney "compound" but not Disney owned. You can find rentals on ebay since it's a timeshare type place. Their pools look great! We stayed at Marriott Harbour Lakes and it was GREAT. It's across from Sea World though. The pools were soooo fun for the kids.

Re: Disney Hotels-- best place to book?
We are staying at the Marriot Harbor Lakes in May. We are going for a week and plan on doing the Magic Kingdom 1 day, SeaWorld another, and then just hanging at the resort. They have a pirate ship in the pool, LOL!
I also have a 4yo and 1yo

We stay at the Sheraton Vistana Villages and love it.
We went Friday-Friday and bought a 6 day park ticket and went every day. Like pp said - when's the next time you are going to go and as you add extra days, it becomes cheaper (I think there was a $10 difference between 5 and 6 days).

Actually this isnt true- AAA has an exclusive discount with disney- so you save up to 20% on the hotel rooms with your card.
eta- you call Disney directly and ask for their AAA rate on the room- I was not talking about booking through them although if you are getting a package, they have freebies that go in as a part that no one else has- free character storytime, preferred seating for the fireworks and also preferred AAA diamond parking

The room only discount that the resorts often have is usually better than AAA.

Right now the Disney.com website has a discount on rooms from 20% - 30%. We just booked through there and got the park tickets through there also - they were cheaper that way (checked Undercover Tourist for a comparison). So the Disney website would be just as good a deal as AAA (or better) - at the moment anyway.
