We have so many dining things booked and such and I made an Xcel spreadsheet of the times all the parks are open and all the extra magic hours, but I am so overwhelmed. How did you figure this all out?
This trip is unlike others, because we never booked reservations and such.
Just a word of advice: don't book more than 1 character meal a day. Each character meal takes at least 2 hours (not including wait time). If you schedule more than 1 in a day, that'll eat up the majority of your day.
This is not true! I used to work in the Magic Kingdom and Disney meals are about 52 minutes. You will see all of the characters with in that time. No way would Disney waste 2 hours on a table when they have a line out the door and reservations every 10 minutes!
And I have to tell you we were at Disney 2 weeks ago and were ready to leave Chef Mickey and our waitress asked if we got to see all the characters and we said no. She got them to come over to our table before we left so we could get autographs and pictures with them. We were probably there about an hour total.

Maybe between waiting for your table and a meal? I would say in my experience the character meals are 45min-1hour, but sometimes you have to wait for your table. I've never had a meal even approach 2 hours except for CA Grill, which is of course not a charcter meal
