TIA, Melissa

Re: Disney Meal Plan Question...
There are so many options for snacks. If you are staying at a hotel with a food court, your options are huge. Breakfast items, side items, packaged candies to take home, cookies, popcorn, ice cream, etc. There is a list on the disboards of snack credit items. The Main Street Bakery has yummy stuff for breakfast you can use your snacks on.
Quick service is just a counter service meal with a drink and dessert. Again, if you are staying at a food court resort, they may allow you to exchange one counter service meal for 3 snacks and vice versa if you have extras on check out day.
We did the dining plan recently and had so many snack credits left on our last day that we just got a bunch of packaged stuff to take home.

Re: Disney Meal Plan Question...
If you are going to do the counter service meal, it's not really worth it.
We ate at the counter service and it was cheaper for us to have water and snacks delivered by gardengrocers.com and bought our own and not do the plan. We are not too much snack or soft drinks so that meal was not really worth it.
So look into it!

Re: Disney Meal Plan Question...
If you go over to disboard.com I have seen threads on this with whole lists.
Here is http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm
Generally a quick service you would get - either an entree (sometimes like a salad, sandwich, type thing - rotisserie chicken with sides), a drink (you can get the largest soda they offer or a bottle or water or juice), and a dessert (cake, brownie, cookie, fruit like apples or oranges). Or a combo meal, drink and dessert. A combo meal is something like burger and fries or chicken sandwich and fries. That type of thing.
So expect something like this if you went to Sunshine seasons at EPCOT: http://allears.net/menu/men_ssff.htm
Oak-fired Rotisserie Half Chicken - with barbecued mixed beans and yellow rice $10.19
Strawberry Shortcake $3.99
Coca Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Vault, Sprite, Pink Lemonade, Fanta $2.39
And one of the below: Bottled Water - regular, lemon, and berry flavored, Powerade, Apple Juice, Chocolate Milk, Orange Juice, 1% and Whole Milk
We found on the dining plan lunches ran between say $10 at the lowest end and $15 or so per person. But this greatly changes depending on what you order and where you chose to eat.
As far as snacks. You can get a lot of things up to $4. You get one item. So you can get a piece of fruit, an ice cream, bottle of water, a frozen soda or lemonade, a dole whip etc. There are a lot of choices.

I didn't think it would be worth it either, but it was a great way to pre-pay our meals and not have to worry about that. I added up what it would have cost out of pocket for the stuff we got and what we paid for the dining plan and it was a couple hundred bucks that we came out ahead. Granted we would not have had all those extra snacks like ice cream, popcorn, etc. everyday. But it was nice to not have to keep track of money spent on food, worry about keeping our water cold in the parks, etc.

Your right. We are getting the meal plan with Table Service. I have most of my meals planned. I just was unsure of where to get snack & counter meals. Traveling with 5 people next week. Can you tell I am getting a little anxious?
Thanks for your help everyone! Do you the meals come on a card for the week or in voucher form?

Re: Disney Meal Plan Question...
What we do is pay for breakfast (usually just right in the hotel to start the day), have lunch at a quick serve, snack and then dinner at table service.

They are coded on your room key. So if you have 2 adults and 1 child on the meal plan in one room, the total of all of the meals are on there, and you let the servers know you are on the dining plan. You can mix them up and use 2 table service in one day, 3 counter service in one day, all your snacks in one day, etc. The bottom of your receipt will show how many credits you have left after each meal. The system does not differentiate between adult and child counter service meals, but does differentiate between adult and child table service. All snacks are pooled together.
