Whispering Canyon is one of our faves. 'Ohana Biergarten (not sure if they'd love the food, but the entertainment is fun)

Chef mickey's Ohana Whispering canyon 1900 park fare is Cinderella at night which my boys and niece and nephew really liked. The buffet was really good. Crystal Palace has pooh and friends. 50's prime time cafe in MGM Little einsteins are at Hollywood and vine I believe is the name at MGM for breakfast.

Re: Disney Moms who did the meal plan..
We ate at on either both or one of our past 2 trips -
Chef mickey's- Mickey and friends
Princess Storybook dinner - Akershus- dine with several princesses
Crystal Palace - Pooh and friends
Ohana (has coconut races, hula lessons, marches around the restaurant)
Marrakesh (our 1st trip) belly dancer and music - she got the kids in the restaurant to get up and dance
Biergarten - has a band and a large dance floor - all the families were up and dancing - and the girls LOVED it - they got up and danced and were rocking in their seats while eating.
San Angel Inn - girls liked to wave at the people in the boats that drift next to the restaurant at the start of the ride.
Sci Fi Drive In - you eat in cars - it is like eating under the stars at a drive in.
Coral Reef (went 1st trip) - Huge fish tanks line the entire front wall - sometimes there are divers who feed the fish during dinner.
1900 Park Faire - we didn't make it this past trip - but breakfast is Alice, Mary Poppins and friends - Dinner is Cinderella, the Prince, Step mother and step sisters.
There is a Playhouse disney (I assume now a disney Jr) breakfast and lunch at Hollywood and Vine - at HS.
In EPCOT there is habachi restaurant - that would be entertaining for children.
Not on the dining plan - but there is a rainforest Cafe - both in AK and downtown disney - AND a new place about 1 year old called TREX cafe - dinosaur themed like rainforest type of a restaurant.
Counter service on dining plan - Cosmic Rays - has rotisserie chicken and veggies - large enough you can share with your DC - they also have fruit etc so a bit healthier or different from burgers/grilled cheese etc- in Tomorrowland - there is a small show - alien who plays a keyboard and sings and tells jokes
Honestly almost every restaurant is child friendly at WDW - but those are the top ones that have some sort of entertainment/theme that would most likely interest children the most.
