Disney/universal
We're thinking of going to disney but visiting universal and possibly seaworld for a day each. Is there a shuttle from disney to universal or seaworld or is it best/less expensive to rent a car and drive? How long is the trip from disney to universal and to seaworld?

Re: Disney/universal
there aren't any shuttles from disney (since it's their competition) but you can rent a car. you can either do enterprise so they pick you up (just plan universal and seaworld a day after each other and rent a car for 2 days) or there's an alamo on disney property. there's also car rentals inside swan and dolphin hotel (just make sure you make your reservations early) it's about a 20- 30 minute car drive from downtown disney without traffic (I-4 is a b!tch so do factor in traffic) hope this helps. if you need any help let me know. i'm a cast member at disney

Re: Disney/universal
You can go to Downtown Disney and ride the Linx bus (their public transportation system) to Sea World and Universal. It's probably not as convenient as a car, but it's also not as expensive. I have also read that Universal is offering some sort of free transportation from the Disney Resorts. I'm not sure if that is still valid.

Re: Disney/universal
While there isn't anything sponsored by Disney or Universal, there is a fee-based shuttle that will pick you up at your resort and deliver you to Universal, Sea World, or most any other major attraction in Orlando.
The shuttle is provided by Mears Transportation, and Universal occassionaly bundles a ticket/transportation option (which I'm sure is targeted to some degree towards Disney guests), so you may want to check Universal's current ticket offerings.
The Mears website has more information and can be found at: www.mearstransportation.com
