Universal Studios or Disney-Orlando
Which one is your favorite?
Which one is more for a non-thrill seeker? I hate rollercoasters.
Which resort in each park is good, but not too expensive?
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA!!!

If you do not like thrill rides than I would say definitely disney - they have some thrill rides but they mostly have family rides. Universal studios is great too but it is a lot more thrill rides.
Disney is great b.c it has three categories of resorts - value, moderate and deluxe so you can find something that fits your budget. I have never stayed in a value but I haven't heard horrible things about any of them. There is something that fits everyone.

You'll love Disney. I believe they are running a special if you book before the end of the month - purchase 4 nights, get 3 free for select dates thru August.

Re: Universal Studios or Disney-Orlando
although universal is fun, it doesn't have nearly as much to do as disney does. and i personally think universal kinda sucks (not many rides) and islands of adventure is more for adults (almost all thrill rides)

Re: Universal Studios or Disney-Orlando
Disney is what turned me from a coaster scary cat to a person willing to try almost any coaster :D
The least thrilling park would be animal knigdom, imo, but EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom are worth it too. They are so many non roller coaster type rides nad many shows and just better scenery at WDW

Re: Universal Studios or Disney-Orlando
I just went to Disney for the 1st time last Aug...I loved it!
I was 4 mos pregnant so no Universal/rollercoasters for me which I LOVE so next time I will def. hit that park up
But I would also go back to Epcot/ Hollywood Studios or Magic Kingdom in a heartbeat!
I never understood how fanatical people got about Disney but now that Ive been there- I totally cant wait to go back.

Re: Universal Studios or Disney-Orlando
I just got back from a business trip to Universal Orlando. Def more rollar coasters/simulator type rides.
I did stay at the Loews Royal Pacific which is on Universal Property and it was SO nice. The pool was awesome and you could walk to Universal. Or they have rickshaw cabs that take you back and forth for free, or the water taxi.

Re: Universal Studios or Disney-Orlando
If you are not a thrill seeker then Disney is for you. It is more family oriented & more "low-key" rides. We stayed at Port Orleans Resort-French Quarters...The rooms were nice & the entire resort was very family oriented.
I happened to enjoy Universal & Islands of Adventure more but i love roller coasters & heart racing rides....We stayed at the Hard Rock which is on Universal's property. It was a beautiful hotel & the pool area was amazing.

Re: Universal Studios or Disney-Orlando
you will be much happier with disney. I have done both and i'm not a huge fan of roller coasters either. Disney has more "stuff" to see and entertainment with milder rides. if I had to pick parks in disney to go to my fav. is magic kingdom, then animal kingdom, epcot and hollywood studios last. but no matter what park you pick in disney, you will find in very enjoyable. IMO disney is cleaner too.

Re: Universal Studios or Disney-Orlando
Thank you ladies so much for responding. We booked Universal Studios because they had a better deal and I think we will have a lot of fun there also. You never know maybe I'll get the guts to actually go on a rollercoaster. LOL! We are staying in the park at Loews Royal Pacific. I seriously can't wait, we are going for our b-day's in June. I think we are going to do Disney in October.
Thanks again for everything!

DH stayed at this hotel a few years ago with his family and loved it. We are thinking of going to universal & islands of adventure in may and we will be staying there too. You will love both parks.. Ive been there twice and always had a great time.

Re: Universal Studios or Disney-Orlando
We just went to Orlando last weekend! We left Thursday 3/19 and returned 3/23. Animal Kingdom, magic Kingdom and Epcot were the parks we went to and they were all amazing! All of the parks have so much to do if you do not like roller coasters. Animal Kingdom has the safari ride(you sit in a big truck and go through the park) My uncle drives it 2 days a week. Epcot and the Magic Kingdom have fireworks every night at 9pm..have fun!!!!
