Disney Visa Card?
We're heading to Disney in April and I just got the offer in the mail for a Disney Visa. I'm not one to haphazardly sign up for credit cards to get the perks, but I have to say getting a $200 Disney gift card for spending $500 in 3 months is pretty tempting.
A few questions for those that have it: 1. The other perks.. savings on dining and merchandise at the parks... details are vague. what kind of discounts do you get? Are they are places you'd actually want to eat/shop?
2. How fast does all of this move? If I sign up now, can I get the card, make the purchases and get the Disney gift card in time for our mid-April trip?
Anyone have any other pros/cons?

The other perks iblude: 10% discount on purchases in the gift shops.(I think you have to spend $50) some restaurants a visa meet and greet area in epcot, and cash back rewards.
They also offer special financing on disney vacation packages. You definitely have time to apply, meet the spending goal and get your gift cad before April

Re: Disney Visa Card?
We are also going in April. We only booked our hotel at this point. My sister in law made all the dining reservations for us. Do they send this deal to everyone? I would consider it as well for the 200!

Disney Visa Card?
This is the best card I have for rewards, if you like Disney. I put alot on my card and then pay it off so I get hundreds in reward dollars every year. That is not including the discounts you get in store and at the parks. I actually just used my redemption dollars on a bunch of xmas gifts. All free! : ).

Re: Disney Visa Card?
I think they have free 6 month financing for trips put on the card. We signed up when they had the $200 gift card promotion. We have an American Express that gets us better rewards, but we use this one when we can't use the American Express. We did take advantage of the free pic while we were there, that was a cute, nice perk!

Re: Disney Visa Card?
I think the GC is the best perk. the reward rate is only 1% so you really have to rack up the charges to make it worth it. We just started putting our regular monthly expenses on it to see if we can rack up some rewards for our trip next year.

Disney Visa Card?
We have one and have been happy with it. You get 10% off at restaurants and shops (if you spend over $50 in shops) at Disney and you also get $$ off at the Disney store. Points can be used towards Disney related purchases and airfare.
We don't rack up points because we use an Amex as our main card but, we do pretty well by just using it at places that Amex isn't accepted. We also tend to use it a lot when we're planning a Disney trip.
$200 is a great perk for signing up - it's the highest that they offer so now is a good time to do it!

I have the premier card, so while I pay a $49 annual fee, I earn 2% in reward dollars on card purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants and most Disney locations. So when I booked our Disney cruise, I saved $200 off for applying, received $100 in on board credit, and then got 2% back in rewards. It was a no brainer for me!

Re: Disney Visa Card?
I signed up for the card in mid-October for a January trip. I spent $500 immediately because it said it could take up to 8 weeks after statement close and I was cutting it close. The gift card arrived yesterday. All-in-all it was very quick, I also got the first statement yesterday.

Re: Disney Visa Card?
I looked into the Disney card and did not think it was worth it. The points award is basically 1%.
