Disney with a toddler

I know the responses will vary greatly, but wanted to put it out there.

Here is my question, for a trip that is about 6 nights/7 days in Disney how much spending money would you allow?

Price of trip will include meals/snacks, save for the occassional mickey ice cream bar and bottle of water.

Realistically, what can we anticipate?

Toddler will be a little over 2 at time of trip. Traveling with Bil and his GF, who is also DD's godfather.

TIA

Sarah

Re: Disney with a toddler

Are you asking for spending money for everyone or just the baby? We are leaving Saturday for a 6 day Disney trip and we have a 20 month old. We didn't do the dining plan though and we are taking around $1500 spending money...I don't anticipate using it all...last year when we went we stood on Disney for 5 days (didn't do the dining plan) and spent around $600 give or take on food and souveniers...gifts etc.

We went to Disney when DS was just about one, but had the meal plan. I think we ended up going over it but if you have the meal plan try to do the character meals that are 1 meal b/c there is so much food and then the snack and dinner should hold you over. Other than that it depends upon how many gift shops you go to and what you get. HTH

Re: Disney with a toddler

Thanks for the responses. I was asking for all 3 of us, DD, DH and myself.

We went to Disney in 06 and used the meal plan then so I know we will get our moneys worth. I was thinking more for DD with all the stuff she is going to want.

Thanks again

I went in November w/ my two kids (9 and 19 mos at the time). We went for 6 days and spent $600, and that included food and A LOT of souveniors.

Re: Disney with a toddler

I just went in April with my 20 month old and 3 1/2 year old and we were on the meal plan. We were there 7 nights. We only spent like $200 which included tips for the meals and toys/gifts for the kids and we bought them way more stuff than necessary.
