Disney World question
Anyone ever stay at All Star Music? We are thinking of staying there and doing the Deluxe meal plan. Is it worth it to do the meal plan?

Re: Disney World question
We've done both the regular and the deluxe plan, and it's hard for me to decide which is better.
With the regular you only get one table service, one counter service and one snack a day. If you're doing any signature dining or a meal at Cinderella's Castle, you're blowing two of your table credits right there. Using a snack for a meal sometimes works out but we usually like a full breakfast.
The deluxe gives you TOO MUCH food. Three table service credits a day plus three snacks a day. I felt we spent a little too much time at sit down meals (why use them for crappy counter service when you can get a nice restaurant meal?) and always had a ton of snack credits left over, which we would need to go on a snack spending spree to use up on the last day.
I think next time we might do the regular and then just pay out of pocket for whatever extra we do, rather than try to stick with just what it offers.
Have fun planning!

Disney World question
I love the deluxe the freedom to buy whatever is on the menu, period. I didn't like the counter services as much, it was more blah food, cafeteria style meh. We had breakfast at hotel, lunch and dinner in the parks. Sometimes with a reservation, sometimes without. The character buffets made it worth it alone. Plus odd ball snacks like "i want a mickey ice cream" or "I want a german wine" made it nice ;) LOL

Re: Disney World question
We stayed at Music many many years ago, I want to say about 10 years ago. It was fine. It's basic, but it's on property and you spend most of your time in the parks, not the room. Kids seem to love the oversize stuff, and while the pool has no slide, do kids really miss that? I love the food court area with the variety of quick options (we don't like having to sit and wait at a real restaurant all the time).
As far as the dining plan, I don't think it's worth it. When you got two snacks a day per person, I think it was.
