Disney World..how old was DC when you went.
How old was DC when you went to Disney and was it a good age? Dh thinks DD should be atleast 4 or 5 before we go. She's 10 months old now and I already want to go.

We took Ava at 2 years, 10 months. It was a great age. She loved every minute of it and still talks about it.

Re: Disney World..how old was DC when you went.
We have the same problem. DD is 21 months, and I would love to take her in June when we take our annual family vacation. DH thinks we should wait until she is 3 or 4 because she wont remember it. I went for the first time when I was 4, and I remember nothing from the trip lol, but my parents tell me I had a blast, and thats all that really matters. We ended up booking Beaches in Turks for June, but I still hold out hope that we can do Disney sometime soon! Good luck!

Re: Disney World..how old was DC when you went.
Ive been to Disney a million times and with my kids at different ages. Anything under 2 1/2 is alot of work. I would opt for a different vacation. They can't fully enjoy all of it and their is alot. Of course if you have older children then you take the younger ones along. I never understood parents wanting to go when their children can't appreciate it. Maybe Dutch Wonderland is better for younger children. Oh yeah, my oldest was 3 the first time we went as a family.

I do not plan to take dd until she is 2-2 1/2 , I just cannot see it being as fun with a baby under 2...JMHO

Re: Disney World..how old was DC when you went.
We took our children the first time when my oldest was 2 1/2 and my little one was 10 months old. The second time, my oldest was 3 1/2 and my little one was just under 2. We are going again at the end of this summer. My oldest will be 5, middle one will be 3, and the baby will be just 1.

We went when Emily was one month shy of her third birthday. She loved it. Wasn't a fan of all the rides, but LOVED the characters and some rides. We had a blast. We plan on taking her back when she is around 5 or 6 years old.

Re: Disney World..how old was DC when you went.
It depends on how often you CAN go! DH and I are DVC vacation club owners, and we're going in May with who will be 3mths old! But we go a few times a year and know that we're not taking him for his 1st and only time.....
If you're concerned about DC remembering the trip, I'd wait until they were 5-7years old!
So, if you plan on going again when they're older, it shouldn't matter if they go beforehand, too!

This is when we are going- end of Sept/beginning of Oct. She will be 15 months then.
They are free under 3. I think it depends on what you expect out of your vacation. If you are going to have a great family trip and are willing to take it at their pace then I say go while they are young. If you want them to remember it then I would wait.
I think they can enjoy a trip at 1 year - and many people have had great trips under a year. A lot of when to take them does depend on your child and their personality. There are tons of rides, shows and activities you can do with a younger child.
