Re: DIVAS Half Marathon
I am! I give you major credit for that schedule!
I ran 2 miles this morning. I'm taking off tomorrow (we're visiting family tonight into tomorrow).
Then I plan on running Tues, wed, and Thursday. Probably 3 miles Tues and Wed and 2 on Thursday. Then rest friday and saturday.
I've always read during tapering you should only run 1/3 of your usual mileage. I usually run 25-30 miles per week so I figured 9-10 miles this week would be ideal. I'm also on vacation this week and in Florida so its super hot.

I am still not registered b/c I did a half in Philly 2 weeks ago and Cow Harbor this saturday. I am kind of raced out but I think I may just register and do this one for fun! Anyhow this week I plan on the following:
Sunday one hour spin 3 mile run
Monday OFF
Tues 4 mile run 45 minute training session
Wed 45 mins body sculpting one hour spin
Thurs 5.5 mile run
Fri & Sat OFF
Sun 13.1

Re: DIVAS Half Marathon
I wouldn't run a tempo run on Thursday. This is taper time and you should be resting your body with easy runs (especially only days away). It's hard to do, but it will help you on race day.
I paid the price at Cow Harbor from my marathon schedule.

Re: DIVAS Half Marathon
I've been nursing an injury so I'm taking it especially easy this week. Might just do a quick 3 miles or something later this week.
