Do any of you have nanny cams?
I feel weird getting one and I'm not sure if it's an invasion of privacy. But, I would like to be reassured that my DD is okay with her. If any of you have one, what is your opinion and where did you get it?

We're ordering this one, can watch on the net and all...You shouldn't be worried about invasion of privacy..you can be upfront with them and tell them that you can be watching at anytime.

we do. we have one that tapes in black and white with no sound from the sharper image. i have a nanny that comes for 3-4 hours once a week...i taped her this week. i don't think it's an invasion of privacy...she's with my kid and i want to know what she's doing.

We do - and I was told it's totally legal if you do not have sound. We have one - it's hooked up to many rooms throughout our house and I can access it at work to see what's going on throughout the day - it is a total lifesver for me. By now, we've had our nanny for a while so I completely trust her, but I like to watch it at work when I miss DD to see what she's doing during the day.

I don't have a nanny, but if I did, I would probably tell the nanny up front. Only because like a PP said, I would want to prevent something from happening, not just catch it on video after the fact.

I would tell the nanny I had it, I feel like it's wrong to tape someone, and not tell them.
