Do any of you Swaddle for naps too?
DS goes down great at night, and I feel this is due to the Swaddle Me. Naps are getting harder and harder. He wants to sleep, but a lot of the times, especially in the evening, he only wants to nap in our arms. He is only 6 weeks old, but I can't help but feel like I'm starting some really bad habits with him by holding him so much for naps.
Does it make sense to swaddle him for naps? Feel like the poor guy would be swaddled all day b/c he does still sleep a lot.
Today, we only swaddle him at night, and then let him "choose" where he wants to nap - swing, boopy, bouncy, etc. He won't nap in the bassinet or cirb.

Re: Do any of you Swaddle for naps too?
when we started napping him in his crib, we started swaddling him for naps, and we did so until he started breaking out of it at night - so he was swaddled from 5 weeks until just before he turned 4 months old. he slept great for naps, about 1.5 to 2 hours twice a day with the swaddle.
ETA: i wouldn't worry about him being swaddled "all day" - DS was swaddled ALL the time when he was little and he is meeting all of his developmental milestones on time so far

we swaddle at nite, and not during the day...i feel like she wouldnt grow if we did it all the time lolllll (dont think thats really true but i feel like its uncomfortable to be like that ALL the time) she will NEVER sleep in the crib during the day...usually the carseat running errands, or for 2 hours or so at a time in her swing..shes 8 weeks

My DD is 5 weeks and we keep her swaddled the majority of the time. She also sleeps a lot! She loves to be swaddled. Sometimes I notice when she seems overtired, she will fight it. Once she actually gets swaddled though, I can see her whole body relax. It definitely comforts her.

I swaddled at night and for naps. It was the only way I could get my kids to nap without me holding them in my arms. As soon as they woke up I would take them right out of the swaddle. I think there's nothing wrong with it...they need to sleep.

If I put him in the bassinette or the crib for a nap, he was swaddled, up until the time I stopped using the swaddle me altogether.

I swaddled for naps too. After the first month I only swaddled her arms and it worked just as well. Maybe something to consider if you're concerned about keeping her swaddled all day?
My DD is 7 months now and we stopped swaddling around 5 months or so. She met every single developmental milestone so far so no worries!

We swaddle her a lot-- but, it's not just for sleep, but for calming as well. Less so now, than in the beginning.
We only use the miracle blanket for nighttime sleeping since I kinda feel like it's a straight jacket (but she sleeps better), and use a regular receiving blanket to swaddle during the day.
