do any preemie moms watch Private PRactice?
Sometimes I get so incredibly upset at the episodes that deal with premature babies....it brings me right back to the NICU and all of those emotions come flooding back....I've been watching this episode for 10 minutes and I'm already crying.

I turned it off. No need to see someone make a decision like that.

I am home today with baby, and I just put it on 5 minutes ago and I turned it off. I got this awful feeling in my stomach and I started getting really upset, so I think I'm going to skip this episode.

That show always makes me cry lately. I watch it while cuddling my daughter but I really think I should stop watching it.

I havent watched it yet. I am not a preemie Mom, but a NICU mom. It has to be one of the most emotionally draining units in a hospital. However, as difficult as our experience was, it would have been ONE MILLION time worse without the care and support of the NICU nurses. They saved me and my sanity. What an incredible breed of people. G-d bless them all.

I'm a preemie mom but didn't watch the episode. After seeing the previews it just looked so sad so I flipped the Olympics on instead.

agreed 100% - those women will always hold a very special place in our hearts. 2 years later and I still think about them quite often.

Not a preemie mom, but I couldn't watch. Too many children die or have horrible things happen to them on that show. Too depressing.

I don't watch, but, opened this thread because I am a Preemie and a NICU mom! The NICU staff was AMAZING! I still think about these nurses everyday!

Re: do any preemie moms watch Private PRactice?
I'm not a preemie mom either but watched that episode (and pretty much every) with tears in my eyes. There's a naive part of me that wants to wish the situation was stretched for "Hollywood" but I now many parents have to experience that in many levels and I truly count my blessings. Truly count my blessings. God Bless preemie parents and all you endure.
I'm just drawn to the show like a train wreck. Even when I was 8/9 months pregnant and Violet was going through the whole baby cut from her episodes and that was one of my greatest "fears" during my pregnancy. I try to focus on the characters and the fashion.
