Do i have the only newborn that doesnt fall asleep in the car???
I mean c'mon...he never falls asleep in the car...i dont get it. Arent they supposed to sleep in the car? It drives me nuts.

If DS is not tired, he will not fall asleep in the car. And if he's hungry he will scream for most of the car ride.

Right there with ya!! DD never sleeps UNLESS we drive longer than 45 min. which is rare since I do all local errands. Such a pain!!

DS rarely falls asleep in the car! as a NB it was almost Never!
We have taken 2 long car rides with family for vacation both 7hours long and out of all 4 or more kids , DS is the only one who will not sleep much, most times I am lucky if I get a 45 minute nap out of him----out of SEVEN HOURS!!!!!!!
Now at 17 months he tends to fall alseep more actually because we are usually running around in the AM and then on our way back to the house right around nap time.

DD never slept in the car when she was an infant. Now at 1, she does (if it's close to or is nap time). Otherwise she is chatting up a storm the entire ride!

Same here! I thought i was the only one with the baby who doesn't fall asleep in the car. She is either awake and happy or awake and crying. Hardly sleeping. When she does sleep, it is after a long drive.

DS hates the car! If the trip is 10 minutes or under I am usually safe, but any longer and he screams!!! We drove to Westchester a few weeks ago and he screamed for 45 minutes striaght before we were finally able to pull over and I was able to nurse him to sleep
