Do I really need a double stroller? Advice.

In February we're expecting baby #2 and DS will be turning 2 years old. Do you think I need a double stroller? I went to BRU and BBB and saw maybe two in each store. They are super heavy and overwhelming. How am I suppossed to tend to the baby when it's in the front? Also, will DS really want to be in there - he didn't today.

Can I have your thoughts and experiences?
Thanks in advance.

My opinion is MOST DEFINITELY!!!!!! There are some lighter options out there...My neighbor thought she wouldnt need the double (her boys are 21 months apart) but she quickly changed her mind...

I just had baby #2, they are 3 yrs apart. I didnt think I would need it but after going to several stores with my son walking and baby in stroller, its a nightmare!! I am getting a sti/stand stroller this week.

I would say definately!!

Definitely, my sons are 21 months apart and I find it helpful especially when I'm by myself. My 2.5 yr old sits in the front, so I can tend to the baby if I need to.

In my case, it was absolutely necessary! If you want to get anything done while you are out, its best to have them both strapped into a stroller!! Mine are exactly 2 years apart and I got the Sit and Stand and it has worked out really well for us. It was about $115 (we had a coupon) and it's not as heavy and bulky as a traditional double.

If I have another DC any time soon I would get a sit and stand
