do i serve coffee at a 1st bday bbq in june?
im having DS's 1st birthday in my backyard. its a bbq at the end of june.
do i serve coffee with the cake or is it too hot? would you want coffee at a party like that?

I think it would be too hot for that. Maybe a couple of pitchers of iced coffee instead?

Yes I would serve coffee. Mine and DH's family would expect coffee to be served with cake no matter what kind of party or time of year.

I serve coffee for every dinner/event I have. I feel it is must and I will be honest, I look for it when I go somewhere.
Our families are big on coffee and even in the summer they all drink it.

Yes. I always serve coffee with dessert. Since it's June, you could always do a separate pitcher of iced coffee as well.

Yes - we were recently at a first birthday party with a beautiful cake and various desserts but no coffee or other "dessert" beverage was served

My friend has a policy "you serve coffee so the old people know when it is time to go home " .
People in my family , ok my grandma, get a little nuts about coffee being served. Th day we moved into our house we had an impromptu pizza party that my grandma was at , my mom actually had to go out and buy milk so my grandma could have coffee ( we didn't evenhave a fridge yet ). Thank goodness for the keurig, grandma can drink coffee any time !

I always serve coffee with cake regardless of the temp or venue. My family and friends are huge coffee drinkers no matter the weather so it always goes over well. They would all be very upset to find cake with no coffee.
