Questions for those who have BBQ bday parties

I am planning on having my ds's first bday BBQ this summer.

If you have a normal sized yard how many guests did you have? I could see my list go up to 70 people with kids so not sure how this would work.

Did you get a tent or rent tables? If so, from where?

I have an in ground pool so my yard is not ideal for a tent and tons of chairs.

Did some people hang out indoors? I would be so nervous of kids breaking things and playing inside alone. How do you prevent this?

Both boys are summer babies so we've been doing outside parties too.

We also have an inground pool.
We have tents we got at Costco. Just big enough to go over the food to keep it in the shade.

Usually no one goes inside unless they're with a parent and going to the bathroom. We have a pool bathroom that has a door to the deck so no one really goes through the house, which is nice.
We also have a big deck so putting some table and chairs their and some on the grass along with the lounge chairs so there's plenty of seating.

Going thru this now. We have a pretty big sized yard 80X100. But I am worried about space. We just bought a tent fom BJs. And we will have tables set up. If you have 65 people, do you need seating for all 65? I don't think everyone will sit all at one time. Especially those with little ones to chase.

I plan to utilize the inside of my house too for seating and maybe dessert? Also, the front yard. I plan on putting the bounce house (renting) in the front so people will spread out. We had over 100 people on our orginal list and I just cut it to almost half
I hate feeling like I am on top of people and kids need space to run so the list had to get chopped !
