Do I wait patiently or try to help?
My DD is 7 months and hates being on her tummy so I don't know how she is going to try to crawl...she doesn't really sit up on her own either (only for a seconds and then falls over).
Will she just do it on her own one day or is there something I can do to help her?
I try to put her on her tummy and see what she does but she just screams!
Anyone else's DC like this??

you can try and talk to her.. encourage her and perhaps even place toys at a distance so she can try and reach for it.. the more time she spends on the floor, the better.. apart from tummy time, you can put her on her back as well.. sometimes they will roll from back to stomach and then she can figure out how to get herself back on her back.

Do you have a bobby pillow to support her while she sits? Or a few bed pillows in back and on her sides for support. That may help her sit longer. Put a toy in front as well as on her sides for her to reach for.
When DS did tummy time and sitting, I would let him have independent time but I'd engage with him as much as I could also. Sitting in front of him singing and clapping.
Check out babycenter.com and look up activities for her age as well as looking back in their files for some good ideas of things to do for play and exercise.
One of our favorites was DS sitting in my lap while I sat indian style, both facing the same direction. I held his hands and sang row row row your boat, while rocking and doing a rowing motion with our arms. Then rock rock rock your boat and rocked from side to side.
