Per our ped, DC must be 100% well for 1 week prior to getting his vaccinations. He is 4.5 months.

If they have a cold, with no fever, within the past 24 hrs it is fine...I just took my DS for his 6 month shots last week and he had a cold, and she said it was fine!

The doctor checked Lucas out and since he had some congestion - and what appeared to be a cold - the decided to delay one shot but gave the other.
Their reason:
One the gave - had no expectation for side effect
One the did not give - Polio and they were concerned that if he got a fever they would not know the real cause.
So we have to go back in 2 weeks.

Jen mine did when Hannah had a cold and it was the worst thing ever. She got really sick and I was out of work for 3 weeks!! I would wait until she's well. Better to be safe than sorry
