Do regular banks do currency exchange?
I want to change over like 100 bucks in case I can't find an ATM when I land in Paris-- and there are no AMEX offices convenient for me or DH to get to.
Can I do this at any bank?

You might need to call ahead and ask them. Sometimes they may need to know a day in advance if they don't have the funds on site.

You might have to "order" them.
I found it to be cheaper to use an ATM. ATM are "EVERYWHERE" in Paris. You will find them also in the airport.

I think Citibank does it.... I know commerce does it but you have to order them. You can also do it at JFK airport

There's an ATM at Newark Airport that we used before we boarded our flight to Paris where were able to get Euros.

No, not all banks do it and not all branches of every bank will do it. You need to call ahead to find out if they do currency exchange.
