Do step classes still exist

I used to LOVE taking step, it was fun and it burned so many calories! None of the gyms around me have them on their schedule. Does anyone know of a place that still has good step classes? Or is step a thing if the past?

step isn't offered nearly as often on class schedules anymore. fewer people are teaching it. i see the step incorporated in boot camp and strength classes, but i don't see many full on step classes out here on LI anymore.

I took an awesome step class for years in Nysc long beach with loren. I moved and haven't taken it in a while. It was on Mondays

I know, it's weird. Zumba took off, but I still love step more. I'm glad I know how to create the choreography, because everyone now and then I'll pull out the step at my gym and give it a whirl!

I thought I was the only one! I used to love taking Step classes - I thought it was a great workout. My gym doesn't offer it at all and my old gym stopped the classes years ago. I would love to see Step classes come back.

My gym has classes that incorporate step choreography but it's mixed with sculpting or kickboxing within the hour. In my opinion that's the most fun. I always feel I get a better overall workout that way.

So I did a TBT last week and I incorporated some step moves as "breaks" between the strength component. They loved it!

I used to teach one but attendance was low bc it's not popular. I also fond to hurts my knees a million times worse then running a marathon does. Many places stopped because they found that step isn't good for the joints. There was a surge of it in the 80s and all those people from the videos, etc. have knee problems. It's a contraindications.

I loved step classes! When I was a member of the gym at my job, I went all the time but then the membership just got too expensive for me so I joined a cheaper gym and they don't have any classes at all. I miss step.

my NYSC still has a couple classes but whenever I have seen them in session there are very few people in them, like 3 lol so I think they are on the way out
