Do you and your SO have a best friend couple?
I was just thinking of my parents and their best friends and thinking of how DH and I have friends but my best friend and his best friend are not married to each other.
Somehow by chance, my mom and her best friend met while walking my brother and her friend's daughter to school. They exhanged numbers and made some play dates for the kids and then the husbands met and they got along really well and 30 years later these people are like an aunt and uncle to me and their kids are essentially my cousins and my mom and dad view these people as their best friends.
Does anybody here have a couple who you and DH are BOTH best friends with? Perhaps you all met in school or at work?

Yes-2 sets. They were both my husband's best friends in HS and when all the wives met we instantly became "best friends".

we have a couple that we are really close with...
during my second year of college, i lived with tracy, cindy and laura. a guy named lou lived next door to us. lous friends from HS came down to visit him one weekend ( i wasn't there). my roomate tracy ended up hooking up with one of them (mark) and now they are married. a few months later, lous HS friends came down again, and thats when i met my DH. my other roomate cindy ended up marrying lou...
so anyway we don't talk to cindy and lou anymore, BUT tracy and i are really close friends, and her husband mark and my dh are best friends from HS... so the 4 of us go out all the time, and get along great

Nope - and I wish we did. My parents are BF with a couple that lived on our block. They have 2 daughters, like my parents, and we were all in each other's weddings. DH and I each have BF, but they aren't married to one another. Mine isn't married. DH's is - and his wife is cool - but I don't think we'll ever be BF.

Yes. Our friends Adam and Laurie. DH and Adam lived together in college, and Laurie and I became close friends before Brad and I started dating. It was fun during DH's senior year when we all used to hang out in their apartment together. (Along with PrincessRose and her DH!)

I am very close with one of my coworkers, and we all hang out together. My DH has gotten pretty friendly with hers. We enjoy going out with them; having them over, etc! My best friend and her ex husband....they were our usual pals....since the divorce, well, that's over!

My DH does not care form one of my really good friend's husband, so when we hang out with them it's usually with an additional couple to serve as a buffer. It's suck a pain sometimes. I wish DH would just get over it! LOL

We have a couple of close couple friends but none of my BFF's are married or even dating his friends.
There are a couple of them that have potential to be or BFF's though in the future:)

Yes- We have been friends since we were five. I might her husband the same day she met him 13 years ago. Now, we all go out together and bought houses with blocks of each other. Her husband and my DH call each other all the time.
