Re: Do you believe babies or young children
Hands down YES.
My cousin would have full conversations with 'someone' when he was around 2 and 3. When you would ask him who he was talking to he would tell you Uncle John. Which was my uncle's brother who had died from compilations during a hip replacement. He was only in his early 30's and since my cousin was a baby when he died there was no way he would have totally remembered Uncle John. It was so creepy!!

Re: Do you believe babies or young children
ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!
The year anniversary of my MIL death was yesterday. Jaidy has been looking up at the ceiling in my living room and saying Nanny, boo boo. Then when I took her up to her bedroom to change her she ran to a porcelain doll and was screaming Nanny, Nanny. The doll was left to Jaidy in my MIL's will. My MIL died of lung cancer that spread to her bones and brain. Jaidy hardly got to see her because she was so sick and Jaidy was only 9 months when my MIL passed so she doesn't remember her.

Re: Do you believe babies or young children
100%....DD used to STARE at the ceiling when having a bottle at night - her eyes would move as if she was watching something...a few weeks ago we were at MIL's house and she saw a picture of DH's grandmother, who died in January, when she was much younger....DD pointed at it and started saying "Nana, nana" (That is what we called her)

There is not a doubt in my mind my MIL is around. This week we have also had a Monarch butterfly in our backyard and when I was visiting my DH at work and we started talking about what our plans were for the anniversary another one came and flew right between us.
Plus this was taken a few days after she passed. They are her dolls and they were her prized possesion but my FIL had to getthem out of the house it was too hard for him so he donated them and they needed to see pics first.

Re: Do you believe babies or young children
I don't know yet since DS is only 3 1/2 mos but I really do hope so.
My father passed away last summer and I can't help but cry every time I think of the relationship he and DS would have had.

Re: Do you believe babies or young children
I believe that my DD sees my grandparents .. like today I was holding her and she just pointed and then grabbed her foot... she never does these things..
when she was first born, my Grandmother had passed in Dec, DD was born in AUG the following year.. my Grandmother never got to meet her.. anyway, I had DD in my bed with me the next day after my grandmother passed and she suddenly had her arms out like someone was holding her hands.. I will never forget that and I do believe that was my grandmother meeting my DD and telling me that she was there and she is ok.

Re: Do you believe babies or young children
100% yes, my niece was only about 3yrs old when my brother passed away and for the 1st yr or so of him being gone my sister would catch her talking to him. Once she was on the swing laughing so hard and we asked what was so funny and she said Uncle John (used a diff name) is tickling her. So yes I do believe children can see people who have past.

Re: Do you believe babies or young children
i hope so.
it breaks my heart that DS won't ever know his great-grandparents. since we live in their house, i hope he "sees" them even though i can't
